Now that it's been getting a little too hot to hike, I decided to take the pups to the lake. Of course they had a blast after the first picture. I wanted to get at least one photo of Gorgie before she turned into a drowned rat.
Some things never change... Gorgie splashing the water to bite it!
I took this next photo with my iPhone of the place where we enjoyed the day!
After a year with health problems and trying
to get back in shape, I finally felt good enough to keep up with
Gorgeous in agility competition… and I did! We qualified and won Grand
Prix today!
In this video is her Championship Standard Title run (all have been 1st place) and her Fast & Furious Grand Prix run!
Handsome, Gorgeous and I had an fabulous weekend! It's a great thing
to be able to just run with your dogs... and they to run with me! ;-)
I like to give kudos to Elizabeth Evans
for taking on a dog she never trained, worked and competed with a
handful of times before this big weekend's IFCS Agility World Cup &
Championship of the Americas. She did a phenomenal job with Gorgeous
with only one elimination all weekend! There were some tough courses
out there!!! Now if Gorgie would have done her part by keeping the bars
up, agility life would be good!
Gorgie stayed with EE and
listen to her very well on all runs (minus the first one) and did
everything asked... other than one important part. :-D
Here's Gorgeous' and Elizabeth Evans
Jumpers run from today. Look how EE got Gorgie to listen to her to go
between the jumps and then not take the tunnel after. Also no problem
with back jumps all weekend! Nice work! Too bad about the bars.
Thanks EE for taking such good care of Gorgeous I'm sure she enjoyed
the massages you had lined up for her. Also, thanks for believing in my
dog thinking she had potential to be a world team member. I only
wished she kept the bars up for you. — with Elizabeth Evans at Will Rogers Facility Watt Arena.
Here is Gorgie's and Elizabeth Evans
Gamblers run from today! It was an awesome opening!!! Wait until you
see the running dog walk which was a mini Gamble after it. The judge
called her AF, but EE thought she got it. Also, Gorgie knocked the last
bar in the gamble which cost the team too many points to even get close
for the cut for world team. Oh well, they are now running for the pure
excitement of the game!
This
is yesterday's Snooker round which they qualified and placed 6th. All
six dogs had 50 points, so it went by time. So yet another beautiful
run!
Gorgie is letting Elizabeth Evans
know she is ready for some 'gilities at the 2013 IFCS Agility World Cup
& Championship of the Americas this weekend! She's ready to rock
like the Rockstar she is!
Fingers and paws crossed they make the cut to be part of the world team
and fly to the Netherlands next year! Competition starts tomorrow!
THIS
is a great day for me! As of today, I have achieved all my goals with
Gorgeous. A championship in herding would be icing on the cake!
Anyways, Gorgie and I received 3rd (out of 11 dogs) in Advanced B Course
sheep this morning giving her the HXBs title!!! We also received 2nd
place (out of 18 dogs) in Advanced A Course sheep!!! What a day... what
a great dog I have!
I would like to thank Marie & Alan Koebke and the whole Alamar Farm gang for helping us get there. Also my favorite clinician, Kyle Smith. I love you all!
Gorgeous and I have a sheep herding trial this
weekend. Gorgeous is up for her Excellent title in B Course sheep.
That course is ran in a big field with a shed at the end. The A Course
sheep, which is ran in the arena, we are gathering points for her championship.
I took off training for three months, but we have had four practice
sessions since. Fingers crossed we can do this! SO... I'm going to
remember to Keep Calm and Sheep Herd On! And enjoy the beautiful
weekend with friends.

love you. I am who I am because of you. You are every reason, every
