Video of Handsome Working Ducks!
I'm so proud of my dog Handsome! He can work
ducks! Now we have another option to gather points for his championship
in herding. Here's a short clip from today's training. I wished it
wasn't so hot out, so we would have more time. Ducks got tired quick!
The first time Handsome went in with the ducks he didn't even see them. At one point he walked over them. He kept looking for the sheep in the other arenas. The next weekend, I tried again twice and he was getting hooked, but still looking for the sheep. This weekend... hooked!

Buscaglia died of a heart attack at his home on the shores of Lake Tahoe.
At 74 he had spent his entire life loving and teaching others how to love

World Hug Week July 13-19, 1998
Another topic near and dear to Dr. Buscaglia was that of hugging. His influence during my college days (along with my mother's belief in hug therapy) is probably part of the reason that I am comfortable hugging my patients.
It seems fitting that the tribute to him would occur in the middle of the World Hug Week.
The purpose of the hug week is a way to promote unconditional acceptance. The hope is that by giving hugs this week, people all over the world will take the five-second challenge and give a hug. Each day of Hug Week, hug at least three people per day, then ask those three to hug three others, and so on.
Please be sure to ask permission before hugging. Give it a try!

About Ways to Remember This is a section that I have been meaning to get up on the site for sometime. It took the remembrance tribute for a loving, caring human being to remind me what I have planned on doing, but other areas demanded the attention first.
I can think of no better way to initiate this section, than by starting with the Keep Love Alive world-wide sunset tribute, as a way to remember a special person and also a beautiful suggestion for remembering anyone who we have lost that was near and dear to us.
I would like to dedicate In Memory of You to Dr. Buscaglia, that we may all feel his presence and his love and his legacy during the World-wide sunset tribute, but even more so every day.

Twister USDAA Agility in OKC
The arena at the Oklahoma State Fair Grounds, OKC! Scores kept on the jumbo tron.
This was our setup for the three day weekend! Ready to rock!
Pretty cool to find a Quarter Horse Statue at the fair grounds near where we were competing in one of the arenas. They were my first animal to compete with in my youth. I wish I could afford to do it again.
Our loot for the weekend! The leather key chain was a title award for Gorgie's Snooker Champion title. She was 1st & SQ that day!

In or out Bumble???
The ritual... Bumble jumps on the window ledge
to lead me to believe he wants to be let inside. I open the door, he
jumps off the ledge, walks toward the door, and then we're at a stand off. This
happens all the time and he usually chooses to stay outside. I don't know why I even bother... well yeah I do, because I love this cat even when he's irritating.
Oh the joy of air conditioning the outdoors while fighting with a cat.
