2015 Border Collies in Action Calendar - We made it!

My Pups made the 2015 Border Collies In Action Calendar twice!!! They will have a photo featured in the lower half of the calendar. This is one of them, and a photo of Gorgeous is the other, but I don't know which one they picked.

With last year's cover win and feature photo, plus these... I'm up to $145 in gift certificates when ever I receive any of them! I'm getting closer and closer to that awesome stock stick that I want! So thrilled!

Here they are in my backyard while the sun was setting. The house was shading part of the land.

 

Gorgeous Morning for Sheep Herding

Handsome really worked great this morning.  There was a "Y" shoot in the middle of the arena, and we went 4 for 4!  Good doggie!  Here he is putting the sheep through the "Y" shoot reversed!

Gorgie and I worked mostly on shedding this morning.  She was able to do most of them.  We are definitely improving.  Here she is fetching the sheep to me.

My Hummingbirds!

Very cloudy and late in the day, but I was able to get a few shots of my hummingbirds.  I now have two!  I'm hoping they'll bring more friends.

Unbelieveable Weather!

It's hard to believe it was in the 60's this morning and 70's all day in the middle of July in Texas!  Simply Gorgeous!

I also took some photos of the weather application just to confirm it actually was that low!

I haven't been to the lake in over a month and today was a beautiful day not to go by!  Handsome wouldn't look at the camera, so I used him as a frame!  Here's Today's Pup Portrait...

I didn't get any great photos of Handsome as he avoids the camera when possible.  So here is Gorgeous...

For the photography group I'm a member of, 52 weeks for working dogs, I needed to post a self-portrait with Gorgeous this week.  Here's what we came up with!

Duck Day!

We haven't worked stock in a couple of weeks, so we started a round each with sheep.

Then we got the golf cart and grabbed three sets of ducks and we were ready to roll!

Gorgie was first to work.  It took her a few tries to get her going again on ducks, but she did better at the end.  I see that she has a lot of patients and will work very well as Handsome likes to keep moving and wears on them too much.

Our set up for today.  Handsome under the cart while I work Gorgie.  The grass is tall in places were you can't even see the ducks unless you're on top of them.
