What can I say, but my dogs and I had an amazing weekend! Still flying "high" with no pun intended!

Today's Results...
Gorgie - 2nd in the Ranch Course III sheep, 1st in the Arena course III sheep, Reserve High in Trail, High Combined Level III, and titled Herding Ranch Dog III-sheep
Handsome - 2nd in Arena Course III sheep and titled Herding Trial Arena Dog III sheep (wasn't entered in Ranch)

Below is from our last AHBA trial a few years ago.  Looks like I did a repeat but higher level this time!  Go Gorgie!

AHBA Amazing Results Today!

At the AHBA herding trial this cold and wet day... Gorgie won the Ranch course and Handsome won the Arena course both Level III sheep! How cool is that!  
 
BONUS! Gorgie received High In Trial! Handsome's score tied for Reserve, but lost on the tie breaker. STILL... what a great day for me and my dogs!

AHBA Herding Trial this weekend!

I've been sick most of the week, and I'm now preparing to spend the weekend at an AHBA herding trial with a 40% chance of rain all day Saturday along with cold temperatures. Figures. At least these ranch courses are my favorite to run... though they will take some time to get through (my luck in the rain). Good news is that Sunday's weather looks much better!

The course shown, I entered Gorgie in Level III sheep. Not an easy task to do especially when you get to the Maltese cross, but I love the challenge... especially with no practice on it. Handsome and Gorgie are both entered in the Level III sheep arena course.

Falling Ice doesn't stop Gorgie!

Gorgie and Teddy playing in the ice storm! No type of weather keeps her down. She must play even if it's by herself... chasing The Jolly Ball is her favorite! I only went out there to take some pictures.

Note... it was over 80 degrees yesterday and in the teens today.  Crazy Texas weather!

DDS USDAA Trial

Gorgie debuted in PIII today with the jump height of 16 inches.  That's six inch difference from before.  I thought she was fast than, but now she's flying!  Nice to see her jump a height she seems to enjoy more and not struggle.

Handsome's PIII height for 2014 went down two inches, so now he's jumping 20 inches.  He was just lovely today and was smooth.  He's a joy to run as always.

I thought it was pretty cool that both dogs received 1st place with a qualifying score in PIII Standard!

My mom had these waiting for me when I arrived home.  Nice way to celebrate a great day of agility!

Another Day at the Range!

I shot the Glock 23 .40 caliber today with a former range master, instructor, and friend.  I completely improved after several rounds and couldn't be any happier with the training I received.

It appears I'm going to be a Glock Girl and will probably purchase the Glock 19.

No hiking today as we needed to practice some agility before this Saturday's competition.  We haven't done much since October, so we had to dust off the equipment and take it for a ride!

I believe these are the last photos of Handsome and his Precious Bucket Tree. It appears somebody cleaned up the trails over the weekend, and cut down the bucket... for good.  :-(
