The most photographic dog ever!
We met a critter near the trail! Cute little armadillo!
YIKES!!! We ran into a cottonmouth snake on the trail! Luckily the dogs didn't get bit! You can see here on the first picture that Handsome dropped his stick that he was carrying right in front of the snake. It probably scared the bejeezus out of him!
Interesting fact as it held true today...
"Cottonmouths have varying temperaments. They are usually not aggressive and will not attack unless agitated. One of their unique behaviors is their ability to "stand their ground." When thoroughly aroused, a cottonmouth coils its body and threatens the intruder with its mouth wide open and its fangs exposed, showing the white lining of its mouth (thus its common name, the cottonmouth)."
And it slithers away! What a beautiful creature.
We ran into another armadillo! Critters out everywhere today!
So today I used my brother's camera, a Sony Nex5 with the 55-210mm lens, didn't do too bad today! The photos turned out pretty good! Though I prefer my Canon 6D with the EF 70-300mm lens better. I have more control.
I must say that I like the size and the weight, 1.5 pounds, of the Sony compared to my over 5 pounds Canon.
If I had a money tree, I would definitely get the Sony Alpha 7R (upgrade to the Nex). You can't beat the size and weight and it's a full frame camera. And because it's mirrorless (no viewfinder), Handsome doesn't know I'm taking a photo! Got cha!
